Pragyanam is a new K-12 school in Gurugram owned and managed by FP Life Education Foundation an entity registered under companies act 2013. Pragyanam has been founded by IIT-IIM alumni, same group as Footprints Childcare. In the last six years, Footprints have served over 12000 parents, across 80 centers in India. 'Pragyanam' which means wisdom or understanding in Sanskrit, has been founded on the core belief that the objective of learning in the 21st century is to raise mindful, conscientious individuals who root for competence over competitiveness and aspire to live a life of happiness and fulfilment. Pragyanam has developed a “No-Limit Curriculum” where subjects are used as a medium to develop life-skills. While the main focus is on developing these life-skills, learning will happen along the way.
A Seasoned Educator, Amita has over 30 years of experience in education. She has successfully served diverse age groups across well respected brands. She has extensive experience with all age groups of children and has been heading Curriculum and Delivery for India's most loved pre-school chain, Footprints, for the last 10 Years. She is also one of the very few Highscope Curriculum certified trainers in India and a volunteer course-leader with Landmark Education – world’s largest training company.
A graduate from the prestigious Delhi College of Engineering, Yatharth chose to pursue his passion and contribute towards education. Through the course of his Teach for India Fellowship, he worked to create impact at the grassroot level, leading a diverse range of projects within the school and outside. One of his most significant contributions has been as the founding member of the 3rd free English Medium Secondary School in Pune, through a successful public-private partnership. Post his TFI fellowship, Yatharth has majorly been teaching the international curriculums (IB & IGCSE) for Science, while taking on varied responsibilities at the school level. His last assignment was with Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon as a Maths & Physics educator for Middle and Senior School.
Yatharth has also nurtured his own initiative for STEM education, leading a team of teachers and interns. He is a wellness enthusiast, a level-2 certified Yoga teacher with the Govt of India (AAYUSH ministry) and a voluntary faculty with the Art of Living Foundation. He has organized and conducted hundreds of programs, impacting thousands of people.
Sushant is the founder of the Parwarish Institute of Parenting. He has trained over 18000 parents and more than 25000 teachers across the world. Sushant has been an author and has given multiple TEDx talks. Sushant has won many national and international awards including the prestigious “The Education INNOVATOR Award” at the 5th EdLeadership International Conference, from The Center For Innovation in Education, USA and the Courageous Class award conferred by the Kenneth Cole Foundation USA.
A father of twins and a seasoned entrepreneur Raj, is an alumnus of IIT Delhi. Amongst many of his laurels is his taking a software services firm to a 10 million turn over with 350 employees and 3 countries in 10 Years. He is passionate about transforming Indian Education Sector. As a Co-Founder and CEO of Footprints Childcare, he yearns towards creating world-class education facilities in India.
Ashish is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta and the father of an 11-year old. He firmly believes that the Indian education system is long due for a transformation and our schools need to play a significant role in creating mature and wise individuals, who can happily take on any challenges life throws at them.
An IIT Delhi alumnus, Purvesh entered the field of education when he co-founded an e-Learning company in 2000. Purvesh is also a trained life coach and he focuses on helping people lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. His vision includes revolutionizing education, by creating life ready children, who grow to be happy and satisfied adults.
With nearly two decades of experience in the field of education as a Primary School Coordinator, understanding the point of view of children is easy for Monika. A Master’s degree holder in social work with counseling as a specialization; Monika uses the skills to effectively bridge the gap between teaching and parenting. She has successfully conducted workshops on various themes such as sexual literacy, anger management, coping with stress and so on, with nearly 500 children aged between 3 years to 17 years in various schools and government run institutions. She is associated with parenting workshops conducted by DCPCR in Delhi NCR and is also involved in training trainers and teachers of prestigious institutions aimed at empowering them, to take the teaching to new levels. She firmly believes in learning by doing and her passion towards learning is fused with her energetic brand of optimism can put a smile on anyone’s face.
Divisha is our encouraging mentor for Nursery children. She is a qualified special educator, early childhood diploma holder in Montessori methods recognized by MMI, UK and has done B.Ed. from MDU. She has worked with an NGO as an assistant and as an early interventionist and was a Montessori directress with THE ARDEE WORLD SCHOOL for a year. Spending time with learners and see them blossom gives her immense self-satisfaction and motivates her to contribute more in the field of education.
Jyotsna Aggarwal has a rich and diverse experience in teaching. She has worked with both CBSE and IB schools in Gurugram. She holds an Electrical Engineering degree from GZSCET Bathinda. Subsequently she worked as a Banker with one of the leading private sector banks of India. She completed her PGDBA (HRM) from Symbiosis Pune in the year 2016. She also holds a B.Ed degree from CRSU. Prior to joining Pragyanam she was working with Lancers in Gurgaon, where she worked as a PYP homeroom tutor.
A teacher since 1996, Ms. Rajni Sood has taught in various schools including, DPS Bangalore, Army School Yol Cantt. and the G.D Goenka Group of Schools. She is a post graduate from H.P University and holds a teaching degree from Annamalai University. She loves to be with children and has previously worked with special children as well.
After completing her Montessori training Mukta was associated with Prerna Montessori School before joining Sri Sri Academy, Kolkata. Mukta is a post-graduate in Commerce. She also takes special interest in dance and has also done her ‘Nritya Visharad’ (Bachelor of Dance) in Bharatnatyam under the aegis of Allahabad University. She joins Pragyanam as a Nursery/Kindergarten teacher. She is a primary and teacher for nur through gr 6.
Physical Education Teacher
Seema completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education Teaching & Coaching from M.D.U Haryana followed by B.P. Ed. from C.C.S. University and M.PE from Institute of Studies in Education University Rajasthan. Her formal training in Sports Education has helped her build excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. She has participated in Basketball Nationals, NETBALL NATIONAL and State Games and was also awarded ‘basketball player of the year’ in 1997,1998 and 1999. Seema began her career as a PE teacher in 2008 and in a career spanning a decade so far, she has worked with schools such as Cambridge School Noida, Amity International School – Vasundhra, Teri Prakriti School Gurugram and GEMS Modern Academy.
Sadhna Sharma is a Post Graduate in Indian Classical Vocal Music from MDU. She loves working with children of all ages and has trained students in Hindustani and Western Vocals. She is also a proponent of the Indian classical dance form- Kathak and has prepared students in a range of dance forms- both contemporary and classical. She was with Manav Rachna for a period of seven years and then with Kunskapskolan for two years and she runs her own Academy for evening classes, as well. Sadhna is our part-time teacher for Music; both instrumental and vocal.
A teacher since 2015,Sonam has taught in various schools including Shalom Hills International and Mother’s Pride. She is CTET qualified and holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry; in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Seeing learners grow in knowledge, skills and confidence is her greatest joy in teaching. Sonam teaches primary years.
Shwata is a highly experienced Visual Art educationists. She had taught Cambridge IGCSE, A and AS level coursework in Textile, Design and Painting Related media. She is actively involved as Coordinator of Fine Arts and Photography club in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu. She has also undertaken IBDP Visual Art workshop and Cambridge Workshops.
Meenu Malhotra has a rich experience of twenty three years in teaching. She has worked with CBSE affiliated schools in Gurgaon and Delhi, and Firsstep Montessori school in Chandigarh. She holds an NTT degree from Delhi. Prior to joining Pragyanam, she worked with DPS sec. 45 Gurgaon. Ms. Meenu is a teacher of Hindi for grade 1 onward.
Having earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Mumbai University, Neha has pursued her passion of teaching and gained extensive experience in the last nine years with schools like Euro kids and Ibambini. She also pursues active sports like badminton, squash and regularly participates in marathons and car rallies. Ms. neha teaches ICT and Math for the primary and middle years.
Pooja has a Bachelor Degree in Education and Commerce. She is carrying a decade long experience and has worked with reputed educational institutions like ITM university and Pathways World School Aravali in the Middle Years Programme. She has chosen the teaching profession.
A management graduate in finance, Annu has extensive experience in the financial sector (credit portfolio). She completed her Bachelor’s degree in education from MDU, and has a rich and diverse experience in teaching. She has worked with Neev; a learning center for the underprivileged.
A French language trainer with certified advanced diploma from the Alliance Française, and a Baccalaureate in English Honours; Tarveen joins Pragyanam as the Modern Foreign Language Teacher -French [MFL] from Grade 1 onward. Tarveen teaches French to Grade 1 through Grade 6
A Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a B.Ed. degree both from RDVV, Madhya Pradesh; Adity has an experience of nearly eight years as an Ecologist with a consultant firm with the Forest Department of Central India. Additionally, with a family background in the finance sector, she has an experience of nearly twelve years with the Banking/Investment sector. She is also a Yoga Instructor. She joins Pragyanam as a Nursery/Kindergarten teacher.
Sushant is professional dancer, choreographer and instructor with eighteen years of dance experience. He has his training in Funk Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary dance techniques. He has previously worked as a dance instructor in reputed schools like Pathways School, Noida and The British School, New Delhi and also done school productions annually for about 20 schools around India. Sushant joins us as a Part Time Dance Teacher
An International Diploma holder in NTT, Pooja also holds a PG Diploma in Nutrition Dietetics. She has been a teacher since 2016 and worked with schools like the Shri Ram Early years and Intellitots Early Learning Centre. Pooja has also worked in NHS Hounslow and Richmond Trust in London (UK) and SHIP (NGO in London) as a Nutritionist form 2007 to 2013.
Komal Gupta is trained in Hindustani classical Music-vocal and western instruments- guitar, drums, keyboards and ukulele.
Komal has a rich experience of 13 years in teaching music and has worked for organisations like Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and Tenex School of Music.
She has been running her own Music Academy and recording studio along with a female band named “Womeniya” for more than 7 years.
Komal has performed in more than 500 stage shows.
Drama and Theatre Teacher
Kriti is a qualified IB, A level and IGCSE teacher for drama who has worked extensively at The British School, New Delhi as faculty for drama and subsequently as an Artiste-in-Residence. She has also worked at Lancer’s International School, Gurgaon as Senior Faculty for Drama and at Pathways School, Noida.
More recently, she was the Head of Department, Performing Arts at GEMS International School, Palam Vihar. Since 1996, Kriti has been visiting faculty at the National School of Drama as well as the Shri Ram Centre for the Arts. Her drama therapy work has had special emphasis on a range of developmental disorders like Autism, Attention Deficit Disorders, and Learning Disability. She has also been conducting teacher training workshops across the country focusing on the use and application of Drama and Performing Arts across the curriculum. Kriti teaches drama to all the grades and is also the coordinator for the Pragyanam Enrichment Program [PEP].
